MyTron™ Magnetic Beads Streptavidin are rod-shaped superparamagnetic nanobeads with a particle size of <30 nm. Their surface is covalently conjugated with high-density streptavidin and coated with a dextran layer, specially designed for targeted enrichment and detection of low-abundance proteins.
When used in combination with biotinylated anti-FLAG or biotinylated anti-Myc antibodies, the beads enable rapid immunoprecipitation (IP) and enrichment of FLAG/Myc-tagged fusion proteins and their interacting complexes, compatible with complex samples including cell lysates, tissue homogenates, serum and plasma.
Benefiting from the ultra-high specific surface area afforded by the nanoscale particle size, this product features a high antibody binding capacity and achieves efficient capture of trace target proteins with minimal antibody consumption 【To be validated: pmol biotin-IgG per mg beads】. Magnetic separation can be completed in <1 min, supporting a rapid, gentle and less repetitive washing strategy to minimize the loss of target proteins and weak-interaction complexes. They serve as an ideal solid-phase support for low-abundance proteomics research, protein interaction network characterization (IP-MS / AP-MS), and biomarker validation.
