MyTron™ Low Binding Magnetic Beads Streptavidin are rod-shaped superparamagnetic nanobeads with a particle size of <30 nm. Their surface is covalently conjugated with high-density streptavidin (SA). Via biotin–streptavidin interaction (Kd ≈ 10⁻¹⁵ M), the beads enable oriented and stable immobilization of any biotinylated antibody or antigen, making them an ideal solid-phase magnetic separation carrier for CLIA and ECLIA.
Benefiting from the nanoscale particle size and ultra-high specific surface area, this product features a high binding capacity for biotinylated antibodies. More capture molecules can be immobilized per unit mass of beads, directly boosting signal intensity and assay sensitivity 【11000–15000 pmol biotinylated IgG/mg beads】. The surface anti-biofouling coating minimizes non-specific adsorption of proteins in serum or plasma, resulting in low NSB and clean background and substantially improving the signal-to-noise ratio. The unique rod morphology and anti-aggregation design ensure homogeneous dispersion within reagent systems and excellent pipetting reproducibility. Magnetic separation takes <1 min, which can markedly reduce test turnaround time (TAT) and increase the throughput of analyzers. The product is compatible with mainstream luminescence systems including enzymatic chemiluminescence, direct chemiluminescence and electrochemiluminescence. It supports multiple immunoassay formats and suits manual operation, semi-automatic and fully automatic chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzers.
